Corgi 270 James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (1970). The worlds best known car made it's debut in the James Bond Film Goldfinger in 1964, Corgi reacted very quick and produced the Bond DB5 (261) in October 1965, which was an outright smash hit with the children of the day and won the best toy of the year award for 1965. Corgi however made some changes, not least because their first version was Gold, and so to reflect the true colour of the car in the Original Film, in 1968 they released a bigger version, the Bond DB5 (270) which was not only now in Silver, but had more features than the (261) such as tyre slashers, rotating number plates, and came in a new blister pack on a red display plinth, In 1970, this blister pack was replaced with a'Slimline Window Box' (the one I have for sale here). I photograph all of my items from close up, (not all sellers do this) and from different angles using a good quality camera as I feel that this provides buyers with a true and honest representation of the item that's for sale, in addition, this Wonderful Classic Car was photographed under bright white LED lights which tend to highlight an items flaws, but as can be seen from these pictures this simply shows this item to be in Really Excellent Condition, Especially for something that's 51 years old and counting, Amazing. Original Item, no replacement parts.
Paint Work is Original and in Very Good Overall Condition, with some chips and paint loss to the main body and bumpers, to be expected given it's age. Windows Clean, Crisp and Clear. Roof Sits Completely Flush (most do not). Ejector Seat Works Perfect, Ejects, Locks Back Down and Holds Beautifully (Baddie shoots out Very Well).
Rear Bullet Proof Shield Works Perfect. Tyre Slashes in Mint Condition. All Tyre's Original and in Mint Condition. Suspension all round Very Good. Bond and Baddie Figures All Original (not reproductions).
Window Box is a Brand New Very High Quality replacement which was bought in order to both Protect and Preserve this Fantastic, Vintage Corgi Classic and was so worth doing.
