The Corgi #270 James Bond Aston Martin DB5.... It just doesn't get any better than this.

The 1st issue Corgi Aston Martin was released in a'gold' color.... Apparently someone misunderstood the phrase'Goldfinger' (the then soon-to-be-released Sean Conner Bond vehicle - and the BEST Bond movie, in our humble opinion) and the 1st issues were created in gold color. Corgi would quickly correct the error and all other versions are in the'proper' grey/silver tone. We believe the bubble window display 270 was the first Corgi Aston Martin to come with revolving license plates! Very unique design lets you open the back flap, remove the car, and put it back!

The set included a Secret Instructions packet that came factory sealed and included operating instructions, license plate decals, and 2'bad' guys! The Aston Martin sported retractable machine guns, opening roof and ejector seat, rear bullet screen, and telescopic over-riders. The very, very first few ones came with silver/grey bumpers and grill - most 270 Bubble Window Aston-Martins would sport gold grille and bumpers. L & L Collectables is a small, family run business.
