Corgi 261 James Bond 007 Aston Martin, in VERY Near-MINT condition. With SEALED Secret Instructions Packet and'Model Car Makers To James Bond' leaflet.
Made by Corgi in England, in the mid 1960's, this famous model of the James Bond Aston Martin is in gloss Gold with a gloss Grey base, spoked hubs with black rubber wheels, and fold-away front machine guns, rear'bullet-proof' screen and opening roof with ejector seat. Red interior with 007 at the wheel. With moulded plastic blue'baddie' figure in car, and a spare in the packet. The car is in VERY Near-MINT original condition. A couple of tinest rubs to the base.Some very fine and slight surface scratches on the left of the rear window, only noticeable in certain light. And on the left gold rim of that window, slightest signs of minor paint bubbling (see final image for close-up). All'trick' mechanisms are in working order. The front machine guns instantly pop-out when the switch is pushed, and the rear bullet-proof screen is equally fast when the exhaust pipes are pressed in. The ejector seat mechanism and opening roof are working, requiring care when closing.
The car sits on a very near-MINT illustrated card plinth with fold-out'wings' with the unopened, still-sealed Secret Instructions packet underneath. Inside will be the instruction leaflet, spare baddie figure and unused lapel badge.
Also included is the scarce colour Corgi concertina fold-out brochure with'Model Car Makers to James Bond' on the cover. The car and plinth sit inside the VERY near-MINT to MINT blue and yellow illustrated box, which is the second version, with black outlining to the red'James Bond' wording on both sides. Very small price written on one end-flap. This is a lovely example, becoming very hard to find so good.
